There are at least 3500 more spousal visas next year (2011) as compared to this year (2010). In 2010 number of visas available was 8000 less as compared to 2009.

These statistics shows InsaALLAH next year will be better as compared to current one. Hope Soo Ameeen

yes because the decision has already been made, but the medical is expired. Because the VISA expires on the same date as the medical expiry date, therefore remedical and passport requests were sent one after another and as soon as they have the medical results they will stamp VISA on the passport. Get it now????

hey plzzzzzzzzzzz dont say like dat.... i m hoping for d best... i hve pluggd my details plz... gve positive feedback.........

Some applicants who received their AOR in Aug 2009 are still waiting, I don't mean to scare you off but thats reality and everyone is living it. It has been a rough year for everybody, but I am afraid you have a long wait ahead of you and the prove is the email reply you have received, they havn't even started your initial process yet. So you have to be very paitient and pray for things to go in the right direction and hopefully expect some good news in 2011. Remember all of us in prayers aswell.

oo ok..but they didnt ask for the PPR :( only re-medical....that sucks

Mamoo, you are suppose to stay in canada during the process of sponsorship. But you can go out of canada on vacations for any purpose, there is no restrictions. It is very necessary that you must visit your spouse during the process to show that genuity of your relationship. I saw people waiting for processing of their spouse cases for years and never visited her/him during that time. It always help to visit your spouse and then inform islamabad of your visit with proves like tickets, boarding passes, pictures taken during the visit with your spouse, immigrations stamps etc.

This is not true if your are a Citizen of Canada. As a Canadian Citizen one can live outside Canada with their spouse for the duration of whole process. Although, they have to prove it to CIC that they will move to Canada once PR granted to the spouse.

You cant change it through Email or Phone if u want to change address in Pakistan of Applicant. I have done this recently.. I contacted CHC-ISB through email and asked them to update my new mailing address, they denied to do and asked me to send fax/letter with details like;

Please send us a signed fax or a signed letter (see fax number and address below) with the following information:

-your original request to change your mailing address,
-the full name of applicant and original signature,
-the applicant's date of birth,
-the file number [letter followed by a nine-digit number],
-telephone number, including area code,
-fax number, including area code,
-the mailing address, and
-a return fax number and/or e-mail address (if available)

Canadian High Commission, Islamabad
P.O. Box 1042, Islamabad, Pakistan

Fax: +92-51-208-6914

I think that would be helpfull.

If the address change is for the sponsor (person in Canada), then there is an option on CIC website using your Client ID where you go to check status of the application. If the address change is for the person being sponsored (person in Pakistan), then you must contact Islamabad using email or phone service.

thank u guys!! appriciate ur help.. the adress change is for canada... i hope and pray for all u guys to meet our lov ones soon.. InshaAllah

no idea...my husband did re-medical on 25th oct 2010...still no asnwer

Yea true, Canadian citizens can live outside provided they can prove they will resettle again after sponsorship is done. I am talking about PR as Mammu asked about PR obligation during processing.
