Changing employer while on closed work permit

Hi,

My spouse came on a closed work permit to Canada. We are in Canada PR process and might take another 6 months to get it. He is thinking of switching employer because of cover situation but he is on a closed work permit.

Is there any way to change employers while on closed work permit?

Any help would be appreciated!

The new employer would need an LMIA and your spouse would need to apply for a new WP. That is unlikely to be completed in 6 months.
