Change of Study Permit to Open Work Permit

Hi guys,

I have a question. Im already in Canada on study permit, i have been offered a full time job and its LMIA exempt. Employer is Westjet, am i able to apply for Open Work Permit from inside Canada if i take the offer? Basically being on study permit can i apply for a new open work permit application? Also im UK citizen so TRV exempt as well. Any leads on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you graduated and are eligible for a PGWP? How is it LMIA exempt? LMIAs are tied to closed work permits.

How's LMIA exempt? Is it through CETA? if you have exemption and you meet eligibility, yes you can apply work permit....

You would be applying for a closed work permit under the LMIA exemption, not an open work permit.

Yes, you can apply from within Canada.
