chances of visa approval

hi,
I am electrical engg. diploma holder in 2008.My IELTS score i R-6,L-7,W-5.5 & S-6 overall 6. I applied for diploma in electromechanical engg in Sheridan college.

some of friends told me that there are rare chances of visa approval for choosing diploma course after having a diploma, so please guide me.
