I have a licensed architect certificate from the US (it took me years of practice and passing the exams to be qualified), and I think it’s easy for me to get qualified in Canada as well.
will I get the additional 50 pts? Thanks!

50 points for what? Certification is for trades not professions.

HI there, recently IRCC has added Drafting Technologist 22212 in the skilled trade occupation where we will get 50 points for the CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION. However, there is no Trade Certificate available for 22212 in Ontario. I have a Post Graduation Diploma in Drafting only from Herzing college, Montreal, Canada. Can I claim points for COQ as I have a relative study and there is no Body available for the Certificate.

No you don’t get 50 points. You need to receive certification through provincial trade association.

A post gradute diploma will not count as a COQ.

COQs are in fact available for several categories of draftspersons in Ontario.

There is a Coq only for Mechanical Draftsperson. And Drafting is a huge category anyone can be a drafter Electrical. Civil, Architectural and many more. And Ircc has added Drafting Technologist 22212 not just Mechanical. All the drafters are eligible for this 50 points.

Yes, drafting like engineering is a huge category. You are not eligible for 50 points with just a diploma. IRCC adding the NOC to the trades list has nothing to do with TOQ which is a provincial certification or Red Seal. TOQs take years to be eligible for through training and apprenticeship.

There are actually 3 COQs in Ontario for draftspeople (not just 1). You can only claim the 50 points if you get an actual COQ. A post graduate diploma will not be accepted as a COQ.

Can I claim certificate of qualification 50 points for Gas Technician G2 license - The certification is through TSSA Ontario (Technical Standards and Safety Authority). I am applying as a Gas fitter NOC 72302 category.

Since you are provincially licensed then you can count points.

I heard that the Primary NOC code in EE should be under 72200-electricians then only I will be eligible to claim those 50 points of COQ it if not then I cannot.

Don't believe so. You have CAQ.
