Hello everyone. I learned from here that only when they are about to make the final decision will they check the expiry of the applicant’s passport and medical exam. I had a passport that was gonna expire in May, 2023 and got an ADR for a renewed passport in Jan 19. Can I assume that I’m in the final stage?

Is there a requirement for the passport validity to have the PR ? If yes, could you please let me know the timeframe of the validity that is needed. ?

Passport should be valid for minimum 6 months before they approve PR application.

Is this for both CEC inland and FSW applicants ? I am asking this as my daughter's passport is expiring by the end of Sep-2023 and would like to start the process of renewal.

For FWS, definitely minimum 6 months required as they need to travel to Canada. But for CEC Inland, Not sure if it is required or not.
