I'm noticing that some of us are receiving RPRF Payment request today. So I called CIC to check that, they told me it could be a batch email that was sent out. Just reply back by attaching the proofs of receipt and you should be fine.

When I just hanged up that call, I got a call from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. He said he has some questions regarding the relationship and asked me series of ques like when I met my spouse, how long we knew each other, etc....Does anyone know how long it takes for them to make a decision after the call? I 'm waiting for PPR almost 9 months now.

Hello everybody,

I just got RPRF request.
Applied: Oct 1, 2014
File received: Oct 2, 2014
AOR: Feb 9, 2015

I have neither gotten the medical request nor did any upfront medical.
I was under the impression I will get the RPRF request after I am done with my medical.
Any inputs please share.

I guess it really was an error on CIC end...

I received RPRF today as well. I guess just paying the fee? What else we can do? Lol

I just spoke to CIC. The lady was a bit rude. She says, the applicant cant compare the process with the prior years. The applicant will not decide when he has to get what. If CIC sent you an email asking you to pay RPRF, then you have to pay. But the email looks legit, because it says criminality/medical in progress. They are NOT saying medical is completed. With falling oil prices, Govt is raking money through this.

"This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."

Just curious, how many October applicants received RPRF? Can we do a head count? :)

did you receive it?

Oct 15th Applicant
I got this RPRF email Pacific time 8:23am and paid for two persons.

Possibly it was just the Ottawa office applicants who received it...

Hi, I am the one who posted this question.

I've just spoken with the CIC agent by phone and she verified that the Ottawa office made a mistake to send the email (request for payment of RPRF) to almost everyone, including the ones already closed. So, yes, the email was legitimate CIC email but it was a mistake.
