Hi, I am the one who posted this question.

I've just spoken with the CIC agent by phone and she verified that the Ottawa office made a mistake to send the email (request for payment of RPRF) to almost everyone, including the ones already closed. So, yes, the email was legitimate CIC email but it was a mistake.

Well I assume my application is in Ottawa as I applied from inside Canada but I didnt receive it. Kinda making me worry now a little bit

Should we pay OR not pay ? Will there be a CIC follow up email asking us to ignore the email sent prior ?

doubtful. I saw pay it. You're going to have to pay it eventually anyway, and if you're rejected you will get a refund. What;s the worst that can happen at this point...

Got an email from CIC asking to disregard the email sent before, asking people to pay RPRF. Matter closed, back to square one - unwanted distraction.

I am 20th Oct Applicant but not received any RPRF email, I am worried even they sent by mistake my name should be there too in that ?????
