I dont see any more CC updates, which is clearly an indication of caps been reached.
Its not late for EE as I heard some news (may be rumours) that first draw will be only from Feb onwards.

on a chinese wechat platform, somebody just said that an immigration representative/consultant rec'd a CO notifcation today for Oct 30th applicant....

the rumor came from a chinese platform, hopefully this CO is real and the previous rumor of cap reached is just another panic attack rumor

lets stay positive, start EE profile and pray for our CEC to be done at the same time too!!

Not that I want to sound pessimist, my own app was received on 03 Nov, but maybe CIC is going to charge some of us late applicants so that they can have enough money to mail back the stockpiles of applications ;D 8)

There is no conformation, I think its a guess as CIC said hoping for end Jan and all accounts it did not happen today so it leaves tomorrow and no one works Sat. I think will roll over to Feb however tomorrow would be nice

Yes because CIC has announced that the first draw will take place in the last week of January. This is the last week of January. BTW, what score did you get in your English test?

As of January 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has a new electronic system called Express Entry to manage applications for permanent residence under certain economic immigration programs.

The Express Entry system is the first step to immigrate to Canada under these programs. Potential candidates can complete an Express Entry profile at any time. Note that there is no deadline to complete a profile and there are no caps on the number of candidates that will be accepted to the pool.

Anyone who is accepted into the Express Entry pool could get an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence. Draws to invite candidates to apply will take place regularly over the course of each year. We will only pick the top ranking candidates no matter when they were accepted into the pool.

If you are invited to apply, you will have 60 days to submit a complete Application for Permanent Residence online.

The first draw for an invitation to apply is planned for the last week of January 2015

Hi guys,

I am actually a November applicant, but having been following your posts to see how things are progressing.

I called the CIC call centre an hour ago - the operator I spoke with told me that applications after Oct 20th would be getting returned due to cap being reached, and apparently they had receieved an internal communication stating this over the last 24 hours (I asked if it was online and was given the impression it would be shortly if not already). Basically what I was told sounded a lot like the cap reached message that was online and then taken down a month or two back.

If any of you do call in to CIC it might be worth checking this - if it has been circulated internally then all operators should have the same message.

I just got word about my application (submitted last October and was received by CIC around October 18-22). My application was refused because they've reached the 8,000 cap. My consultant said that it's probably not because of my NOC, but most probably an overall cap.

regarding the express entry draw confusion, they clearly mention that they are "PLANNING" a draw.
they haven't promised anything as yet. I think they need some time to work it out.
