Hello guys,

I am Oct 10th Applicant. My Work Permit is expiring July 15th and i would like to get some advice if I should wait to receive PPR and save some $$$ or apply BOWP as we are uncertain about the PPR's.
Also if you guys can guide me on how to apply BOWP Online.

You can prepare the documents for BOWP and apply a couple of days before July 15th so that you dont lose your status in Canada.

Once you have applied and the application has been received and confirmed by CIC (they provide a confirmation number over the phone if you call and ask. Not sure if you get a notification in your MyCIC account automatically or not. I have never done an online application), you are in implied status. That means you can carry on working even after your work permit expiry date until CIC has made a decision.

I agree. I personally wouldn't wait until the last moment. I would get it done before end of the month and make sure I do not run into any tricky situations.

When i fill out IMM5710E form. What should I select for BOWP? Question 3. is tricky. It says restoration of your status or Temporary Resident permit. ??? This shit is so confusing!!!!

restoration means : ur current wp is expired you were staying with expired status in canada.Now u want to restore the status. which is not the case for u.

looking at ur case , u need to select wp for new employer

Okay!! Where do i mention/be specific about my BOWP application? I just want these idiots to understand that i am applying for BOWP and not a new WP.

Because u have filled the eligibility questions and u will provide the reference number they are intelligent enough to know that its a BOWP application

U will also be providing them your AOR and a conver letter mentioning that its a BOWP application.

Hi, could please disclose when you filed your application, and AOR ? Mine was Oct 21st and Feb 27th cic started working? Whats your timeline. The reason is, I am principle applicant ansd my wife was added later. How long it took you to get passport request ?

I am 14th Oct applicant, we filed PR together..in your case it is different, but if you have received the RPRF at the same for you and your wife, it should take one month for PPR request..if you push through your local MP, it will be faster, they will make a note on your file that your MP is following up on your behalf..so they push it....
