CEC October 2014 Applicants

I have got my BOWP in october 2015.
I came to india couple of days back.
submitted my TRV application today at VFS office in India, based my new BOWP.

I'm going back to France for the holidays and I am naively hopping to maybe eventually get my PR before then (yeah, I know... But I submitted the last documents requested last week...?).

Would you recommend to pay the rprf upfront? Do you think that might change anything or it's useless?

I just want to have everything done as soon as possible, as everyone...

Saw a post in the EE forum...Guy called Harry20 got PR in 12 days yes 12 DAYS.....

I don't want to discourage you because I am in the same boat, but I just talked to my lawyer. As per him there is no movement in the applications which got AOR after 23-Oct, 2014. (This analysis is based on the files which he is handling and according to few of his fellow lawyers)

And he was pretty confident that there might not be any big movement in this year and these cases will be start getting process in next year.

I hope his analysis get wrong!

I think its worth it if you can get through, because it does state that if your application is over the processing times then you can call CIC. By then it will be.

Thanks for sharing. There is no movement for applicants who get AOR after OCT 23, 2014, this sounds about right, but I am trying to relate what CIC will do about it in the next year.

Remember, applicants who sent in applications after OCT 21, 2014 packages were returned. Oct 23, 2014 was just about the same date they they returned applications, I am assuming when CIC sends out AOR we receive it immediately. Has CIC decided these are cut off dates for old CEC application and will return packages with AOR after OCT 23, 2014 in the next year?

If they return applications back to us, some of us have BOWP applications still in process, and with current WP expired, are out of implied status.

I'm an Oct 6 applicat and just took the plunge today guys, and applied for express entry, couldn't wait any longer and if I get my pr done in the next 3-6 months then that $1040 is money well spent imo.
