CEC - August 2014 application

Hello everyone,

Thanks to the ones sharing their updates and the ones remaining positive. Last thing we need is a lot of negativity or useless comments.

I am a August 25th 2014 applicant, got AOR on Dec 19th 2014.

Haven't done anything upfront, and so far the only thing I've heard from CIC was the wrong RPRF email. Have never requested GCMS notes, because I think that just creates more work for them, hence slower process for us.

I am crossing my fingers I'll get my MR soon too

yes, the receipt is there, but it has a different number (receipt number), but it nowhere specifies that a work permit application has been submitted. so any suggestions ?

If you applied online, make a screenshot of the page which lists anything else... like SUBMITTED dates, status OPEN, etc.

no i am still waiting for my gcms ....may be within 40 to 45 days from the date i applied i will let u guys know...

The pdf that states the application number which you get as a confirmation must be adequate. As CIC does not print in the confirmation email what kind of application you have submitted.

I guess the user OhWow is right, take a screenshot of your CIC portal, that must indicate the same application number and the description as Application to Extend stay as a worker.

thanks apar, but no that page also does not describe anywhere the purpose of application.

anyways, i need this info to submit to bls for pcc. i think i will be able to convince them with my current wp number that is the same as app number for new wp.

I am Sept 5th applicant, just wondering if i go for upfront medical as i booked appointment but i saw August 25th got MR request so is it better to wait for CIC request ?

its up to you whether to do it or not. I doubt that will speed up any thing



I did not do mine upfront,

personally I was waiting for the request, cz that will indicate where my file is in process. it is just for me to know as if I did the medical upfront u wont know when my file reaches the medical phase. plus the medical has expiry date, you want it to be as much as accurate around the time they request it.


think of it this way - if you need to know how your health is now do u look into blood checkup done 3 or 6 months ago

I got my medical requested in Dec21 , done Jan 4 and submitted in Jan 8, all it took 3 weeks including the Christmas and new year holidays where clinics are close and I could not get any appointment in DEC. and I got the RPRF requested couple of hours after the Dr. submitted my results.

I also did not pay upfront because the RPRF request indicated that the file is completed and the is at the final review stage. cz if things are not ok till that stage they wont ask for payment.

Again this is my opinion, and its up to you to make the decision which suits you best

I was being following this thread from past few months/almost year. I applied for PR in Aug rec AOR on Nov 6 did upront med, but yesterday got email from CPC with a refusal of my application. The reason they gave is my work experience with not proper evidence, which i dont get it. As an applicant i consulted a lawer before applying and showed him my case he approved and then i filed with another agent. So now i have no idea what to do, i know i can appeal it on my own without having any lawer, but what are the chances Guys!! Let me know what i should do now

Hi Can you be more specific on lack of proper evidence for work experience. Is it the employer reference letter or roles and responsibilities not matching with NOC or the work hours not meeting the required criteria ?

Can you please provide more details on your application such as NOC code, responsibilities mentioned in your Emp Letter.

Also I would suggest you to send out a personal message to Jes_ON (active and exp member in this forum) with Rejection notes, NOC code, responsibilities..etc. You will get to know what you can do at this point of time.

sorry to hear that, the first thing you need do would be apply GCMS to get detail reason and at the same time to decide if sue it . ( not sure if there is time limitation )

but would you share the original email ? what's not proper evidence, do you lack of reference letter ?

YES SOME PEOPLE CANT THINK OUT OF THE BOX. Maybe they shall get a job in CIC to believe that they are not the only applicants lol
