here s a question...cic has requested RCMP certificate...i did it for myself...i m principal applicant...and my spouse...she is still in my backhome india...so am i suppose to get her RCMP as well frm india ?. becauase in letter cic didnt mention anything like they want rcmp for me and spouse...

Just you as there is no RCMP in your backhome India.

Plus if your spouse has not been to Canada then there is no point in getting an RCMP for her.

Which part of India you from mate?

hi frinds jst want to knw whts current time frame for bowp...i have applied on march 17...havnt received any update..only thing that i can see in online mycic account application status open...my wrk permit is expiring soon.

I applied on February 19th and I am still waiting for my BOWP. I only had an email about 5 minutes ago telling me that my application hasn't been updated since I last connected to my MyCIC Account (which was about 10min ago)...

I have to admit that my heart stopped for a minute... :/

No I haven't. It's the second time I receive this email since February. I guess it might be because they opened my application to work on it, hence the automatic email? If I call the call centre they probably won't be able to let me know anything, as I am not sure they can access my file.

finally today i got medical reqst for me and my spouse..

now i have a question... i m going to complete MR process here in canada,and doctor will snd my medical reports to cic directly...so how its going to work for my spouse..as shes in back home india...cic didnt mention anything in email..they jst sent two paper for both of us individually..one is instructions and other one is form for medical...where do they have to snd medical ...for my wife...do they have to snd to canadian emabssy in india...pls help//

Hi,

I would call up CIC and ask them as the first step. AFAIK, your spouse can give his/her medicals and do an emedical from India with the help of your reference number (or reference number provided by CIC) and you can do yours here. I'm sure CIC is not that dumb to issue MR and expect you and your spouse to do medicals together, since she is not with you.
