I have got an email saying that my PR has been approved and they have asked me to reply back with address details, but IRCC portal still shows "Application In Progress". Is this expected, can someone please clarify ASAP ?

Have you tracked changes to your file (when background checking started/completed, eligibility, etc)?

My application, even after portal approval email, shows the background status as in progress. Just stay put. You should get the approval in some time.

Makes sense. Many people from Edmonton VO have "Not Started" on Eligibility/Background Checking. For some reason they don't seem to be updating the tracking on portal. lol

I believe they do not update the portals, hopefully you get approval email very soon.

I have sept 23 AOR, and Oct 20 Medical pass. For long time it has been "we are processing your background check" and "We review whether you meet eligibility requirements". I spoke to IRCC agent yesterday who said criminality and info sharing passed, and security check is in progress. Eligibility not started yet. Hearing eligibility not started made me think there is still 2-3 months to go . Did anyone here track how long eligibility take once it starts ?

I haven't called them again to check the eligibility & security status (the new IRCC tracker still shows they have not started) but got an approval email on 10th Feb. Both must have completed before the approval.

congrats for your approval. Did you check before(GCMS or IRCC), when was the last time it was "eligibility not started" ?

I called IRCC on 3rd Feb and they said Eligibility & Security not started
