Hi everyone,

I just received an ITA and my collegue flagged that I have an unauthorized gap in my work history. I received my final transcript on June 16, 2022, but didn't apply for my PGWP until June 30, 2022. I worked during those 13 days, not realizing my authorization stopped the second I graduated. I was unaware.

  • I have 3 years of legal skilled work (starting July 2022)
  • I am NOT claiming points for those 13 days
  • I'm planning to use a Letter of Explanation (LoE) to disclose it - I would like to be upfront and transparent
Has anyone dealt with a similar "transition gap" recently? Is this a major red flag for misrepresentation if I'm honest about it? I have a lawyer call booked, but wanted to hear any recent experiences.

Thanks!

(PS: understand there are similar threads but are from 3 years ago, wanted to get a fresh pulse since IRCC has been more strict with application review)
