Got the 2nd GU last night when I log in.
Im actually confused cause when I called IRCC, rep said its still same status so what the GU for? He's not actually very helpful giving answers. Said officer, still working on file.

It was Eligibility: rec passed
Criminality: on progress
Security: on progress

It'snot complusary that whenever you get ghost updates you have to call the cic agent. GU could also mean that your file might be trasnferred or opened by the officer or an officer or agent was assigned ETC. It is always better to wait rather than contact them

IRCC agent said the same to me when I called them after noticing two ghost updates in my account. After the third GU, I didn't actually call them. However, after 48 hours my application was approved. Good luck!

No GU at all...no message since Feb call to call centre and out of nowhere you have a message in your account...

I hope there is no pattern like single or any dependants. I have dependant inland but most of them who are getting GU seems to be single.

I dont think no of dependents is a factor if all of them are ion canada.
