Hey how the portal works for inland and outland (dependent) for eCOPR and PR. Though I informed to that email the dependent is living outside canada.

my first post in this thread, i have been following this chain for very long and it kept us sane during this whole time.

principal applicant is my husband and i am dependent( inland)
AOR: 25 August
Medical passed: 24 Sep

Just today we got update in our application and there it was mentioned “We are processing your background check we will send a message If we need more information “

so my question from everyone’s experience is how long does it take them for background check? Any responses would be really helpful

It's depend case to case basis .In my case it took almost 40 days reason us visa refusal.

Expect few ghost updates and then portal email very soon. Please check my signature same AOR date

It's depend case to case basis .In my case it took almost 40 days reason us visa refusal.

Hi @sanish2014 Do you know if its only due to US Visa refusal due to which Background is taking longer? I have seen others also with background status changed who never had US visa refusal.

Finally the day came i was waiting for
21 Aug - AOR
21 Sep - Biometric & UCI updated
14 Oct - Medical passed
15 Oct - its changed to 'we don't need medical will let u know if anything changes '
Again Nov 4 - I got update "you passed the medical exam" and its still showing same.
NOV 10th - GU 1
NOV 15th - GU2
Background check still same form first day
NOV 18th- Got Portal Email replied on same day
NOV 24th- Got Credentials (login details)
NOV 25th - Update the Address and Photo
NOV 26th - E-COPR
PR Card Waiting.........

Yes for sure.... I am expecting creds email on Monday per other member's post.

My Spouse is living outside Canada and same I informed in that email.

Will I get the dependent PR in mail as well?? if not then What's the process for dependent from here??
