sent with application
Hi

I sent m CEC application yesterday after gaining the required Canadian experience.
I also received my BC PNP nomination 2 weeks ago and I can't decide whether I should apply for PNP as well.
Besides the extra 1400$ cost, I don't know whether one application can delay processing for the other.
Has anyone in the forum submitted 2 application at the same time?
Would PCC and Medical result be transfered from one file to the other or would this just cause delay?

Thank you for your advice.

If you're not really confident about one case , You can Apply for both If you want , they Don't result in delay ! And once one of them is almost approved You can withdraw the other one at any time. You should send separate PCC's for both files and yes you can use the same medicals for both! But I guess you wouldn't need Medicals for the second case , If you get Medical request for one case! You should withdraw the other case after the medical, If you get RPRF request after Medical for one case.

If you're doing Upfront then you can use same medicals for both cases. and about the Extra costs ! It depends on your pocket. LOL :D
Good Luck!!!

Thank you for the info.
I have greater confidence in the CEC application that I filed.
The PNP can theoretically be terminated in case of lay off.

Good luck to u as well. It looks like u are very close!

I sent both CEC and PNP applications.
CEC timeline is on my profile.
I will update this post with PNP timeline and issues relevant to multiple applications.

PNP federal application sent: 4-june-2014

If your confident with your CEC application then i would suggest you go for Cec as it is faster than pnp. I too have been nominated but i pursue the cec submitted 1st week of nov 2013, now waiting for PPR. You can also apply for both but remember once you get file number for both you can't refund anymore the application fee if you want to withdraw one of your application after file number has been sent to you. Goodluck and Godbless..

Thank you Dyesah.
I hope your PR is soon finalized.

The CEC should be OK but who knows.
I already have the trauma of my fsw application cancelled by CIC back in 2007 (
The famous backlog reduction), so I am trying to reduce my risk this time.

I know one of my friend applied both CEC and PNP at the same time. Once his PNP has been approved and had PR under PNP, he got full payment back regarding CEC application fee. I hope this helps you little bit.

Just got "decision made" status on my PNP.application. I wonder if the second application has to be withdrawn before getting COPR. I hope this doesn't cause an additional delay. Anyone had a.similar situation?

I Got COPR for the PNP application in the mail today.
so CIC shared police certificates and medicals for my 2 applications (CEC and PNP).

I hope this info can help anyone who has 2 applications.
For me, PNP was faster.

Good luck.
