I also got that doc request which I believe comes around the 1 year mark. Recent history and Police certificate from the FBI. And they asked me to submit by jun 2014 which seems to confirm what I thought earlier.

So please if you are December 2012 applicant (AOR 2012) just chip in. Also if you are January 2013 you will probably get DM, PPR in April 2014, please let us know if you do.

Do you mean that they have asked you to provide a new FBI police certificate?
My application was received 1/24/2013 (Status still application received) and it included my police certificate. If they are not extending validity for the police certs, mine would be expired by the time my file goes into process. Maybe I'd be better off ordering a new police cert at once since it does take some time to obtain it from the FBI.
I have also ordered my GCMS last week and will keep you all posted once I get it. Maybe we can have a better idea of how fast they are moving by comparing notes.

I do not know why you were not asked to submit yours by now because if my "theorie" is valid you should have been asked to do so a month ago. Though we need to remember that about 80% of applications fall within the processing times and the other 20% are the outliers that last for more than that for different reasons that no one gets.

[hi ,I finished my medicals recently 20/02/2014.my query is: recently I married 04/03/2014 ,so I want to add my husband in my file please any one help me in this situation
he is also in Canada, he is having 3 years work permit
my file is on process in Sydney, Novo scotia,
how to update my marital status to the visa office in Sydney.
I would like to know the forms to be filled out, to update my husband details?

Not yet, probably in two weeks. I also noticed that Ottawa has updated the processing time 20 months waiting time (of course this is for 80 % of applicants)

My application status on ecas is still "In Process"

I hope the assigned officer in my case will note that my application is passed due date and can proceed with my application. I am still within processing time of 20 months though (80% applicants processed). I am hoping to email them if I don't hear from them by April 9 (full 20 months). Does anyone have suggestions? Hope our pile continues to move again with more ppr.

Your visa office is cpp-ottawa? It is very strange you haven't heard from them yet. I have the exact same thing on my GCMS notes but i applied in july of 2013. What was the last updated date on your GCMS and your last detailed comment by VO (at the end -- usually it starts with a DXXXXX)? Are you still outside of canada? I would email them now since it's past the due date.

I will update you as I have new information. I wrote to them and I was told that my application is still within standard processing time. If I don't hear anything from them when the 20 months elapses, I will have to write again. All the best!

I am sure from your GCMS notes, they have assigned these findings and have to be updated by a certain assigned date by VO. Thanks, as you said we must be patient. There is no logic to this thing, I kinda look at it as a lotery Well it says application in progress. and this occurs in November 2013. I am assuming that means " in process" . I am waiting for my FBI police certificate. Beside the medical evverything else needs to be updated.

yakkar, even though ecas might not be the best tool to know your application status, we can at least rely on it for our current status. My GCMS notes before "in process" status was showing in progress while ecas showed "application received." So check your ecas to see what your current status is. All the best!
