yakkar, even though ecas might not be the best tool to know your application status, we can at least rely on it for our current status. My GCMS notes before "in process" status was showing in progress while ecas showed "application received." So check your ecas to see what your current status is. All the best!

Hi Guys
I received, this morning, a request for a police certificate for every country or state where I lived at least 6 months since I was 18.
Knowing that I already submitted the FBI clearance when I first applied in may 2013, Do I still have to send an updated one, or the police clearance is different from the FBI Clearance?? Is it something that I can get from the NYPD precinct?
They gave June 2nd as a deadline, and my Medicals will expire on August 22nd.
I already Sent an email to my brother to have a police certificate from my home country, I will also check if I can have this at a Local embassy.
I hope this will be a prelude for updates from everybody.
Prutus and Yakar!!! did you guys received this kind of request? If yes, when?

I received such request last year in the month of August/september and I had about three months to have submitted police certificates & FBI clearances for both my spouse and myself. If you live in the USA, go ahead and get FBI clearance while waiting on your brother to send police certificate from your home country. If you've lived in any other Country for six months and more, you'll need police certificates from those also. Hope this helps. Again, thanks for sharing and all the best!

They sent an email on April 2nd, requesting an police clearance from any country where I lived for more than 6 months. I am waiting for my brother to send me the one from my home country. I also had my self fingerprinted yesterday and plan to send the request to the FBI clearance on monday.
I also ordered MY gMCS last month I think that's what pushed them to process it. I hope it is gonna be a prelude for a bulk processing for the outlands applicant

After all your documents are sent, you will be getting your PPR very soon. It looks like they are in the process of doing April/may 2013 applications at the moment.

I have just received my FBI police certificate. Now I sent my updated information and the FBI p.c , crossing my fingers. According to my gscm notes all my security, eligibility etc are due next month.
