I have a quick question for you folks. I've recently been approved to sponsor my wife/son from the Philippines (yay!) and received the letter from the Case Processing Centre, Mississauga. However, when I try to check on he Online Client Application Status I keep getting an error saying they can't process my request (to see status).

Please help :)

If your last name is Buffalo WhiteBison, write it exactly they way they have it on the approval letter. They may have thought that Buffalo is your middle name which you do not inlcude. Or that there is a space between White and Bison. Good luck.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, family name and surname are the same thing, so unless you have a forward slash in your name, then don't put one. Just your surname, thats its.
Good luck trying to log on.

Alright, so lets say my name is William Jason Smith.

Would I enter my name as Smith/William Jason
or Smith/William

Or Smith, William Jason
Or Smith, William?

I can't seem to log onto it no how. Yuck!

Aw geez, nevermind. I've been having one of my 'not so bright' moments lol

Like the lady above said, surname/family name are the same thing.

I put in Smith and it all worked out. Thanks. Though, sadness, it doesn't have any information regarding the PR yet, I thought it would have said that our package has been sent, recieved in Manila by now.

Hi Whitebison,
Hi WhiteBison, I belong to another forum, but decided to reply to your post as we had the same difficulty you are experiencing, we applied in June last year, Hubby the Sponsor, was able to log in using his details in August, after Receiving the Sponsorship Approval In July.
It turns out, we were not able to log in immediately partly because Ecas does not always work straight away, and also because we did not realise they had Hubby's Date of Birth in the wrong Format. (we had to play around with it)
so sometimes it takes a while before you can log in. which sucks ,cos really you should be able to open your file since they gave you a client number.

I would still say keep trying and make sure if you are logging in with Sponsor's details try the following:

Select Client ID: Enter "your" Client ID as shown on your Sponsorhip approval letter.
Name: Enter "your Surname" only
Date of Birth: If logging in with you Correct DATE OF BIRTH fails Try entering month for day and day for month.
01.02.1975 becomes 02.01.1975(this worked in our case, and turned out to be the reason we could not log in)
Country of Birth: Select the Country you were born from the drop down list

If this does not work now, just keep trying, they may not have updated Ecas yet.

Hope this helps
