Careless Driving conviction in USA in 2009

Hi,

I was charged with DWI but convicted with Careless driving in 2009 in USA. This is something i am not proud of and i learned my lesson. I am about to file criminal rehabilitation may be within 2 days. I am also interested in making my application for express entry permanent residence for Canada. I have good education and work experience in Canada. Is anyone out there in the similar situation or was in the similar situation? Would they reject my PR application based on careless driving conviction? Should i wait until i get criminally rehabilitated. I am not sure how Canada looks at careless driving conviction? Any help would be appreciated.

As far as i know (and don't take this as gospel truth) they equate crimes to Canadian law. So if your careless driving conviction does equate, it may affect you. That being said, there are rehab forms you can get stamped i believe that can show that your record is now clean. Not sure on the time line though.
How are you looking at getting your PR? Family sponsorship etc...?
