Hello everyone,

I submitted my Express Entry permanent residence application on january 23th and received my AOR shortly after. However, I have not done my Biometrics, marked as completed since march 2.

I would like to explain my situation in case it may be relevant:

I was criminally convicted years ago in my country.

Before entering the Express Entry candidate pool, I received a letter of approbation of rehabilitation from IRCC, and it confirms that I am rehabilitated.

In my PR application form, I naturally answered “yes” to the question regarding whether I had been convicted outside Canada in the past. I explained in the text that I have been rehabilitated, and I attached my letter of Approbation of Rehabilitation in my LOE.

Also, years ago, I have been refused for a work permit because, indeed, I hadn't been yet rehabilitated at that time, and I also answered "yes" to the question asking whether I have been refused for a previous application.

My eTA is also associated with my file.

In my account, as well as in the Application tracker, my background check is noted as still underway : ‘We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information’ , an my review of eligibility is noted underway in my account too, but as not started yet in the tracker, which indicates the lastest application update as from March 3 …

During a ‘Destination Canada’ forum last month, I asked an IRCC agent about it and he replied that there shouldn't be any reason for me to be refused, since I have been rehabilited.

Also, my eTA is now completed and accepted, and my background check (Security clearance) has been approved for it.

It's been some time since, and I’m starting to ask myself whether or not I should send a WebForm in order to ask and send my rehabilitation approbation letter again ...

If anyone with experience or strong knowledge of IRCC processing could share their opinion, I would be very grateful. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thank you
