CAQ+LMO (holds a valid CSQ and PR in process) new job offer

i would be happy to have someone shed some light on this topic...

i have valid csq issued in october 2011..and my pr process is going on...awaiting decision... i m getting a new job offer in my province quebec..with another employer..i need to apply for new wp.. as per CIC site it says if you are selected by province you dont need a LMO but again QSW dont come as part of Provincial nominees...other provincial nominees get a letter specific to WP (for getting open WP) i tried to get the info from MICC(quebec ministry) they are saying i need to apply for CAQ even i ve a valid CSQ... but CIC site is saying no LMO if province selected for PR...and CAQ form says if no LMO you dont need CAQ...but i am little confused on this process...please help me with some info...i need CAQ/LMO? if so that process takes 8weeks my new job wont wait

I (or you) have to apply for a CAQ for temp. Workers, and LMO ! Both are meant to be sent to Service Canada and MICC, "bundled" with 182$ from your side, as well as 182$ from your employer.

thanks lepatissier07 ... i too got it confirmed with MICC...but the issue here my new employer is not fully aware of the process...and they are not interested to get involved..i even offered them to pay the 182$ on their behalf...infact from feb 24th micc is doing it in fast track for some 44 listed NOc codes..i am part of it....i cant fill the lmo form for my employer i am trying to explain them they are not understanding...btw i am talking abt a company who is global company...so i guess my offer gone waste i wish MICC atleast understands the importance of CSQ in the coming days and give more benefits to the CSQ holders..other province do so many things like issuing open permit etc...

well, after reading last night 30-40 pages regarding Quebec Immigration (which was about 1% of all available quebec immigration rules ;D ;D ) i actually found out, that, if you are applying for this CAQ/LMO stuff, and you already have obtained your CSQ for PR purposes (!!) you don't need to do this advertising stuff on Jobbank ect (which quite a pain as well) because you have your CSQ. well, it saves about 2-3weeks i guess, but better than nothing.
I have to go today to Service Canada at Peel Street 715 in Montreal to get this one confirmed in person, even if this particular CIC website has been updated January 2012. I still have 5 months left before mine expires.

My employer is also not aware of this process, (and everything else in the world) and i do most of the paperwork, i just get the important details from him, which isn't that much anyway (Taxnumber, Registration number of the business....ect) just one page in total, the rest i can do it myself. but at least there are interested.

so, its confirmed, the guy at service canada confirmed, no advertisement/recruitment required if CSQ (for PR) is already obtained.

Just a photocopy of the CSQ needs to be added and the form to be completed appropriately. If available, we can send a photocopy or printout from the ad, if there's any.

wow...you do research as i do....yeah i even found out advertising not required....but not through hrsdc...thats really good job from you...but you know what with current window starting feb 24th hrsdc have given same leniency to quebec lmo applicants...for the selected 44 occupations you dont need to advertise or show local recruits efforts check in immigration quebec (but its in french only)..as such CSQ not helping much other than the timelines...but i ve another news atlast my new employer agreed to do all the paper work for me they have asked their legal attorney to do this...hope things go well...thanks a lot for your efforts...owe you a drink

no worries mate. everybody needs a hand here. the immigration sites suck....i lost about 3-4 months with the CSQ application...due to missing documents which i didn't even knew about, until clicking like crazy...link over link over hyperlink over link...thats just nuts...and there it was, but to late.
hope fully buffalo will pull the finger this year and get it done until December 2012. at least want the PPR before 21.12.2012. looooooool

good luck mate... havent you submitted the application yet to Buffalo? i reckon you do that asap...now ppl are getting faster response atleast for MR due to involvement of CPP ottawa...go ahead and submit it at the earliest..see my timeline in signature...expecting 2012 as the year :0 hoping for the best

Hi all

I have a question for my case.

I am in OWP and got a permanent job in Montreal now. My OWP will be expired at the end of this year 2012.

I want to renew my OWP and change it into Closed WP so that I can change my spouse from Close WP into OWP.

My question is: If i get the CSQ , do i still need apply LMO+CAQ?

Because based on the Quebec web,It is clearly mentioned that:

Individuals in the skilled worker class who hold a CSQ, who reside in Québec and whose application for permanent residence is currently being processed do not have to obtain a new CAQ before applying to prolong or renew their work permit. The employer is therefore exempt from the responsibility to provide a Labour Market Opinion (LMO).
