So, im applying for a temporary resident visa and i came across this issue where the " Proof of Means of Financial Support" is required to be submitted and i cant do that because im 20 years old. still studying and still relying to my parents for financial support, but my parents arent the ones who's going to deal with my trip financially, my friend from canada is the one whos going to pay for everything. So what do i do? Is there any "alternative" for this issue here ?

Who is your friend in Canada? How do you know each other?

To be approved for a TRV, you need to show strong ties to your home country. Ideally either you should fund your trip or your parents should fund the trip. As a student, your approval chances are probably already somewhat low. The approval chances will be reduced if your friend funds the trip.

So, bank statements from my part is an absolute necessity to boost my approval for the TRV? without that my chances are extremely low ?
and she's actually my girlfriend, and we've been together for about 4 years now, and both of my studies and family are the strongest ties i have in my country.

It's not absolutely necessary. However if you are coming to Canada to visit a girlfriend and she is funding your trip, IRCC will be concerned that you are coming over here to get married and have plans to stay in Canada long term.

Do you have past travel to countries requiring visas such as the US or UK?

No i have never traveled before.

So all im getting from this is my attempt to spend a vacation in canada almost impossible hence the insufficient evidences i have. Is that true ? Or is there any other way i can get the TRV ?

That’s right. Canada TRVs aren’t issued just because you applied for one or presented a plane ticket.

Graduate, get a well-paying job and stay there for a few years to earn some money. And then apply for a TRV.

An outside chance, but still no guarantee: present your parents’ finances as if they will fund your trip, plus show all your school ties and projected career path, given your line of study, in your country of residence.
