I have got my canada PR and my PR card; but will not move to canada for good till jan 2019. Do i have to pay taxes for 2018 where i was in canada for maybe 10 days and all my earnings were in the US
Thanks for your reply. Just to be clear I don't need to file for taxes either?
I did get my SIN and opened a bank account with $ 0 and it has been $ 0 since.

I really don't want to bother filing if I dont have any ties or income. I can let it be right? Sorry to sound so overcritical. Just wanted to be clear that I don't have to FILE taxes for my current situation. Just want to make sure I'm fulfilling all obligations till I start living in Canada.
This would not be suitable for OP as this could open a new can of worms with the CRA. Until you become a tax resident in Canada you do not need to file taxes at all. Filing at $0 could mean that they are resident in Canada but did not have any income, neither in Canada or abroad. Which does not reflect their current situation.
