I'm a Canadian citizen planning to marry a live-in caregiver here in Canada. She has already applied for PR on her own. Does she need to inform immigration once we are married? Is there anything specific she needs to do? Will the marriage to a Canadian citizen delay the processing of her PR? Are they forms Canadian citizens have to fill out if they marry a PR applicant? I do not intend to sponsor her. Does she need to 'add' me to her PR application even though I'm a Canadian citizen? She is very worried, pls your comments will be highly valued to ease her worries.
