Hello,
I attended masters at McGill for one semester in 2010 and due to some health issues i returned back to my country and after recovery i moved to switzerland for my masters, now i have been accepted to University of Calgary for my PhD. How can i prove the immigration officer that i was having a valid reason for which i couldn't pursue my masters in Canada and what happens if i apply for my study permit renewal without actually obtaining a degree from canada (I mean from McGill).

And also this time i will apply for Canada visa from Switzerland with my masters degree.

Thanking you in anticipation,
MG

Re: Canada study permit

Provide proof that you were suffering from health issues that prevent you from completing your studies (hospitalization records, medical bills, letters from doctors, any communication you sent to the university letting them know you couldn't continue your studies due to illness).

Hospital documentations and a strong SOP would be enough.
