hellO! i heard once, that i dont need to get canada police certifiacte, because if immigration needs, they gonna get themselves. is that true? i am applying outside under common law, but living in canada.

OMG!!! really??? i want to beat myself for this! i haven't submitted our application yet due to this canada police certificate! everything was ready to be sent off on april 25 but my friend told me that i need to get the police certificate here in canada. I went there to pick up my certificate yesterday but they said that i have to come back on wednesday! My God, we were wasting 1 month if that is the case! i even have been worried since Hongkong sent my police clearance since march.

yeah, they ( CIC ) will be the one to contact RCMP with your police check. But since you already applied for one & only a few days of waiting might as well include it with your application package. I read in other thread that by doing that it makes the process of application faster.

to be honest its the best step to send in your police clearance with your application because if you do that u dnt have to wait 6 months after first stage approval to get second stage approval...like other people did who are telling you that they will do it them self.....because i have seen all 2011 applicants here who sent in their clearance with the application and medicals as well they dint have to wait for 2nd stage because they checked and did all their work of processing those docs while processing your 1st stage,,,,,so if u did wait and are sending everything with your file your 1st and 2nd stage will get approved the same day ...but this is only if you are filing -in Canada
i have seen all the applicants in 2011 who did this got their 1st and 2 stages the same day..and then just wait they will call u for landing interview nd then u get pr same day.....

so wait and send both your clearance in the same time as your application....go to 2011 inland application and you will find out...

I am feeling the same way too, there were times that I will just look at the forms & will do nothing. It took me about 5 mons. to gather everything ( as they said, got to send just the quality info. about your relationship & some of it should have a proof & not all about stories )... Can't blame you to get stress. as I said I feel the same way too though I already pass the 1st stage...
