hi,
i am from india working in respectable MNC hradquartered in US. i came on an assignment to canada for around 15 months in 2011 post which came back to India so looks like i am still elligible for applying through CEC

in the checklist it asks for employer reference letter and similar to others i do have issue in getting it from my current employer:
1. does it need to have reference of duration/experience/job title/salary detials for the length of stay in canada? OR it should have these details for the duration i m associated with current company (includes indian experience primarily)
2. will T4/work permit/pay stubs/canada bank statements and rest of details (including copy of invite letter but not on letterhead) will suffice to prove that i stayed in canada?
3. if we dont get employer reference letter for canada, is there any alternative?
4. how does it calculate 12 months in last 3 years - does it need to have all 12 months within last 3 months or it can have entered 4 yrs ago from now but worked throughout 8-10 months in last 12 months
5. a different category but relevant question - do we know what is eligibility criteria for express entry?

thanks much in advance for ur quick responses.

1. For the duration of stay in Canada will be enough. Or may be you can take a letter for the period you are with the company and then explicitly specify the period you stayed in Canada also.
2. Yes along with the reference letter.
3. In my case I do not have reference letter form the Canadian branch. So I took a letter from the Indian branch of the same company with a clear mention of the period of stay in Canada, pay in Canada and job roles & responsibilities while in Canada. Along with this letter I also submitted T4's, NOA, Paystubs for the entire duration, bank Statements and work permit copies.
4. All 12 months shall be with in the previous 3 years period only.
5. Not sure.
