Can you work while bridging work permit is being processed

I applied for a bridging work permit. My current work permit will expire on October 30th. I received a letter from IRCC stating that I can work until September 7 or until a decision is made whichever comes first. So does that mean I can only work until Sep 7th? Also does anyone know if the new Public Policy extension applies to an already extended work permit under public policy?

You can work as long as a decision is made on your application. See this page and read it completely. I know that it’s not for BOWP, but it answers your question

Hi, i applied for BOWP on May 8th, 2022 and it was approved on October 26, 2022. 5 days before my first work permit was about to expire.
