Hi there,

We have got our COPR recently. My spouse is the primary applicant and I am the dependent. Since I am a H1B holder in USA, I would need a bit more time to figure out how I want to proceed. In the meantime, can my wife alone land and settle down? I might follow her within 3-4 months. Do we have to let cic know about it officially?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's fine. The primary applicant can land first. No, you don't have to notify IRCC.

Yes. You can. I, as a primary applicant, landed first and got the PR card. My spouse hasn't landed yet (the same situation like you. My spouse is H1B holder and can't do the 14 days qurantine, he has requested COPR extension).
