Can the letter of explanation be the covering letter of a document?

Hi, While I thought that I needed to explain some points in my proof of funds portion, that makes sense to me to write an explanation as a covering letter rather than in letters of explanation portion, which would also make it easier for the visa officer to get all the related information in a single document, rather than looking in different docs. That's only my thought, What should be the right way to do this?

Yes, definitely you can have LOE for each section along with a separate LOE in the LOE section.
By uploading LOEs you are only making life easier for the officer and also reducing the processing time of your application.
