Can I sponsor my sister-in-law after PR?

Hi All,

Me and my wife have Canada PR,

just want to know if it is possible to sponsor my wife's sister to Canada by any possible means?

I mean, can I or my wife sponsor her to Canada as PR?

or is it possible to sponsor her after citizenship? or not possible at all even after getting citizenship?

kindly guide what we can do.

No, neither you nor your wife can sponsor her through the normal federal sponsorship program. For that, your wife would have to be single with no other family member to sponsor. Since she is married, that won't work.

However, she can maybe try one of the provincial nominee programs. The requirements change frequently; but there is a forum for these types of programs here.

It's not possible now - and will also not be possible after citizenship.

As explained above, she will have to qualify to immigrate on her own.
