Hi Friends,

I am currently working in Canada. When I sent my application to the CIO, I was in the country for 7 months and was scheduled to leave just before I completed 1 year here. Hence the CIO asked me to send my application to New Delhi (as I had not completed 1 year in Canada yet).

Now, my work has got extended, and I will be here in Canada for another year. I have already completed a year in Canada before I have sent my full visa application to the assigned Visa office. Can I request a change in visa office to Buffalo? If not, can I at least request the interview to be done at Buffalo?

Would appreciate any information you can share.

Regards,
Chris

Request to transfer the visa office, i do not think so because there is no a valid reason for you to do so (according to their point of view).

Regarding the interview issue, i do not think that you can request to make your interview in Buffalo because New Delhi is your home country, and therefore, you do not have a reason for not being able to attend the interview there such as; (visa refused to enter that country...etc.)

My personal opinion, New Delhi office is a dream for anyone who would like to immigrate to Canada, they are supper fast, you might get your PR visa from them within 5 or 6 months, Buffalo is a nightmare and takes very long time comparing to Delhi.

Good luck.
