Hi Folks,

1. Can I go back to Canada if I have a Sin Card and Landing papers from my first visit as a minor back in 1997?

2. All I have is my Sin Card and Landing Papers...using this is it possible for me to get travel documents to travel back to Canada?

3. I do not have a Canadian Passport or PR Card.

4. Can I go back and apply for them?

If you are under 20 years of age - then you should be able to obtain a travel document. Otherwise it's too late.

If you hold a non visa exempt passport, you would have to obtain a US visitor visa and then try to re-enter Canada by land. If you are able to enter unreported, then you will have to remain in Canada for two years straight without leaving before you will be able to apply to renew your PR card. If you are reported at the border for failing to meet the residency requirement, you will have to appear at a hearing to argue why you should be allowed to keep your PR status. You should expect to lose at this hearing and have to leave Canada.
