Can I get study permit while awaiting PR

I came to Canada through SINP and got a work permit. I already applied for my permanent residence and expecting it to come anytime. Can I apply for a study permit while awaiting my PR and besides, will i be required to write an English test since I wrote it for PR. Please give me insight into this. Thanks

Just wait for your PR, you will pay 2-3 times the fees as an International student, and you will need to write the academic version of the English tests which are different from the ones you did for PR.
