I think it depends on your position. If you do not have time and have enough money then go for consultant. But bear that there are many fake consultants who are of no use.

Consultants are an absolute waste of money unless you've got an extremely unusual case like a criminal or record or some disease which even then you'd probably need an immigration lawer and not a consultant. All consultants do is take your money and follow the visa checklist that you already have access too. I also think that sometimes using consultants can give off a slight air of suspicion to the visa officer as if you know you have everything in order why on earth are you using the services of a consultant? Just make sure you follow exactl everything on the checklist and you should be fine.
Go with consultants if you think your case is complicated and you don't know where to go....for rest apply by yourself...you can track your application easily if you apply by yourself....if applied by consultants ,you'll asking them everytime you need some info which will eventually become frustrating.
If you can read and comprehend text and if you can write legibly then do it yourself. After all, you have been accepted to a college/uni and thus are presumed an intelligent being.
If you can't comprehend text nor follow simple written instructions, then by all means, use a consultant who will charge you an arm and a leg.
Either way, there is no guarantee you will receive a study permit.
I went the DIY route and I was approved.

b.tech(it) 68% ptu in 2012.......................i have no gap during studies
ielts 6.5 overall,but in writing or reading 5.5
applied for sheridan clg in it support services coop 2yrs diploma
6 month fees paid and did gic amount
my bro is living in canada so i mention it,
there are reasons:
you will not leave canada after finishing ur studies
travel history
purpose of visit
ur proposed studies cannot be cosidered a logical progression of studies
bai ji mai tuhade sare post follow kite aa te i hope jis tra tuhanu reapply karn te visa mil geya rabb mere te v mehar kre...
so plz guys tell me what can i do and how can i get visa

pls correct me if am wrong,am sharing my experience the following are the reason for rejection.
1. IT Students are more seeing more refusal than Mech and Electical or Electronics guys....
2. If you have any sibling in canada
3. IELTS band 5.5 in one , if your applying in IT Stream.
Now, as you know you cannt apply in SPP program so better you apply in good University. you got good marks in b.tech. Pls share your full profile as well your financial status.

bhaji phli gal ta eh tuhada visa reject hon da major reason eh hai ki u already have bachelor's degree and u applied for diploma dat is post secondary studies...secnd is no need to mention dat u have brother in canada etc....bro just go for pg diploma or masters...as u alrady have btech degreesharmaz said:
