I have planned to obtain a working holiday visa in Denmark.
now i know that it says on the webpage that it's advisable to book flights and travel to Canada before
letter of intruduction is there.

But can i still come to Canada on a visitor status and then drive down to the US go through the border once i receive the final confirmation letter and return to the Canadian border to activate it immediately?

Might sound stupid but is that possible?

1. Yes, but on re-entry, you will have to show the proof of insurance, $2500 (I believe is the amount) and return transportation.

Thank you so much for your help PMM

What kind of insurance is it i need?

thank you ever so much for your reply PMM.
i'm in an unique situation here. i am wondering if you don't
mind me asking a bit more you seem to know quite a lot.

i'm currently in Canada on my 4th visit i've been visiting frequently
with about 2 months in between. i've had no problem with it so far,
always left when i should. if i go back to Europe to get my application started can i come back on a visitor status about a month later?

and then once my application has been approved (hopefully) then go down to the States and up again and be approved like that?

really appreciate your response i'm desperate for answers as i'm leaving in 2 weeks.

1. Yes, if you qualify for an IEC visa. Note that most are closed until January 2012
