My wife and I applied for ECA at the same time. However, I received my ECA 2 weeks back but her ECA is still pending. Now, I am thinking of submitting my profile without my wife's ECA. Without my wife's ECA I will have 432 points and with ECA I will have 440 points. Should I apply without my wife's ECA or should I wait for the ECA report? Can I add my wife's ECA report later (after I submit my EE profile)?

Yes you can create your profile now and add her ECA later.

Do we require a full report to submit profile in express entry pool? I mean i have just couriered documents of myself and my wife to WES. I have reference numbers for both of us. Is that sufficient in current stage or do i have to wait for report before submitting profile?

No. You have to wait.

What did you fill then for the canadian equivalency when submitting the profile? Personally I think it's better to decline and add correct information. If you had ECA done in 2015 they're still valid

Thanks for reply

My educational documents assessed in 2015 and I just requested ECA report after ITA.

I checked CIC website for ECA and all I could find is http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=990&top=29

I couldn't find anything stating to have ECA done prior to ITA.

I will check on this thread if someone has more info on this.

Basically to get ITA you submitted an Express Entry profile no? While filling that profile that ask you if you got an ECA and you had to fill the date and number of the ECA report. Otherwise you can't submit your profile. Which is why I'm asking.

I received my ITA under CEC and I have Canadian as well as Foreign education. I don't remember answering that question.

So, without giving ECA reference system wont let me submit my profile?

ECA is just for foreign education.
"
If you were educated outside Canada, you may need to have your educational credentials assessed against Canadian standards.
This is not mandatory if:
you got at least one year of recent work experience in Canada, or
your work experience is in a skilled trade (skilled manual work).
Note: Even if you do not need to have your foreign education assessed to be eligible under Express Entry, you may want to do so in order to increase your score and chances of being invited to apply."

I appreciate your follow up.

I have recent one year of experience but like the note says you may want to do so in order to increase your score and chances of being invited to apply.

It is confusing for me (you got at least one year of recent work experience in Canada. This should be in my favor i assume)

My credentials were assessed in 2015 and that's why I was eligible to take exam as a pharmacist but I requested ECA after ITA. I might have to explain this in to LOE.

Well basically ECA is to be able to claim points for the diplomas. If you got ITA without needing these points, then you can just add them in personal history. Note that I'm not familiar with the differences in applications between CEC and FSW. For example I got ECA done for 2 diplomas out of three. I only added the third diplomas in personal history since I'm not claiming points for it.
