Can a Protected person marry a temporary resident visa person?

Hello All,

I am a protected person and my PR process is in second stage. I have a situation

I want to marry and the person is on Temporary Resident Visa (Study Permit). I realized I have nothing to do with PR and the processing time being much longer than expected I wanted o start a life and a family.

Once I marry what are the things I need to take care of ?

Will the person get an open work permit ? If so in how many days will she he Work permit ?

Will she get a PR along with me ?


All your suggestions and experience sharing is highly appreciated.

wa alaekun Salam. If you plan marrying go on asap and add her to ur application . All you have to do is get married and call Cic that u need forms to add a family member to ur application for permanent resident as u got married along the way . That's all , I also got married after I submitted my application .
