Hi. On February 5, 2021 I sent in requested additional documents via email reply to Cairoimmigration@international.gc.ca and I still have not recieved an answer. The files were big so I had to send them separately but they are in the same email thread. Do you think they would've viewed our documents by now? Should I send it again in a new email?

If you didn't receive an email failure delivery notice and if you received an automated reply from Cairo VO then you should be fine and you don't need to send them again. May I ask you what kind of documents they asked for three months after passing the medical?

I emailed them our timeline and application details and I mentioned that I am currently living in Egypt with my husband, am expecting and due in April 2021. I said that I want my husband to be with me in Canada when our baby is born.
They emailed me back and asked us about our relationship, for photos, certified copies of our passports from 10 years + all pages, additional family information form for sponsor and anything else we wanted to add. They gave us 30 days to respond, we sent everything a week later.

Thanks for sharing. They also asked us for passport copies for 10 years and sponsor additional family. We thought it was really odd that they're asking for such info on sponsor and you're the first person that I heard had a similar request.

My husband got a call yesterday from the Canadian embassy in Cairo. We're assuming it was like an interview because the lady he spoke to was speaking Egyptian and that was the requested interview language. She called to confirm a few things like dates. It was a short call. What might happen next? Refusal or pre arrival, ppr, copr? What do you think.

I think you'll get pre arrival next. My husband got the same call shortly before approval. Did you originally send photos, chats, etc with your application? I'm surprised that they asked for these now. Best of luck!

Mabrook on your application. I'm wondering if you can explain how you submitted the passport? Do you have to pay for VAC to return it to you?

Thank you. Passport mailed to VAC along with a fee of EGP 95 paid at CIB for the return mail. I think all the info are included in the passport request letter sent by the embassy. You can also call the VAC for clarifications. It took 10 days from passport sent to passport received.

Yes I sent them originally. They asked for pictures from our wedding. I sent those, and we added other pictures with my family and my husband's family.
