Thank you very much, MelissaJohn and desertFlower, but I am pretty sure I would be lucky to hear anything before the end of the year!!
And I am assuming there will be an interview, since we have a few red flags.
And I will be going back to Canada in October for a few months with my daughter, so we will probably hear something when I am there, lol :O
Let us know what happens when you (or your spouse) land in Canada!!! Hopefully, it's a good move for you (them) and it is all worth it!!!

Hello everyone

Its a long time I didn't came to this forum (my husband arrive in Canada 28 dec 2013). I wish everyone good luck in their procedures.

I came to ask some questions for a friend. Her husband had his interview April 21 so 4 months ago and until now they didn't get any reply from embassy if the visa is accept or rejected. Any one is in the same position of her. Right now she is getting very depress and lost. She dont know what to do...She email many time the embassy but no one reply to her email.

Hi Marie France,

Is she in Egypt or Canada, if she's in Canada she can call and ask. Otherwise she could get her GMCS notes, it will take 30 days to get and cost her $5 but those might say something. There aren't many of us following this thread anymore, and I don't know the answer since I am not that far into the process. You could ask the question with a new topic and hopefully someone with experience can answer. Sorry I wasn't able to help you any more Good Luck to your friend.

That's kinda weird you should contact the embassy, email them your full name and your husband's full name and file number and wait till they replay.

I agree with AladdinsGirl & MelissaJohn, she should contact the Embassy to know what is happening. And order the GMCS notes as well.

Just to give some news, here a new adventure just started since hubby landed yesteday! Immigration procedures took 3 hours in Montreal.

if your husband is in Canada, he should call the cic toll free number and ask them. that's another solution

The question was not about me as my husband got is visa and land in canada in 2013.

As I mention its for a friend in the process of sponsoring her husband. He had his interview on April 21. They are waiting to know if hes aprove or not since then. As mention she email the embassy in cairo weekly and they dont even reply.

She order the note and wait to received them.

She will contact her deputy as I can see many start their procedures way after her (she start 13 months ago) and your procedure are complet.

If they could at less simply reply her email to let her know what is going on if the file is reject or still under peocedure it will make having hope to keep dreaming abput the day they will be together.

Can someone please, tell me where I can get the " IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form" to print it. My husband scheduled his appointment for this Saturday, and was told he must bring to print outs of the medical form, along with 4 pictures or him, plus two passport pictures..

I have been searching for hours online and cant find it at all... My husband is applying from inside Egypt.
