Hello everyone,
i got my visa el7 :D and it only took 5 months!! really this forum helped me alot and the shared experiences in here made me know what to do with my file, thanks to everyone :)
my visa office is cairo and i applied in september with a letterly complete file that took me 2 months to prepare!! the pp request was by email on 5 february and got my pp with visa on 19 february.
my advice to everyone in here, read this thread, double read the document requirement on the cic website and never send an incomplete application

goodluck :D

Hi remonda

Congrats on the ppr! The right of landing fee is $490 and as far as I know you can pay this online with a credit card. In regards to your son I would contact the embassy and find out why they did not request his passport.. I'm not familiar with the rules of a minor child travelling with his parents but I would assume he needs a visa as well

Hi everyone...It seems that my previous post was ignored but there has been an update on my case which is strange for me.
They requested the RPRF (which I paid and sent back an email proving that) but they didnt ask for the passport! Can that happen?I wonder where the delay is from..it has been 5 months since my medical exam and I don't know what's going on. I have applied since October 2010 which is very depressing.
What's taking them all this time?

Hi Leylekian,

I went back and found your previous post. From what I understand you applied under the Qubec Skilled Workers program (correct me if I am wrong). All of us in this thread have applied under the family (spousal) sponsorship class. I have no idea how the QSW works. You may be able to find a thread on the forum that deals specifically with QSW and I'm sure someone there could help you.

The only piece of general advice i can offer is to order your GMCS notes and see what they say so you can learn more about where your file sits.
