I have a question.

We had a request from the Cairo Visa Office for additional information (notarized). We sent the requested info back to them within 24hrs as they said they would not further process our file until they received this info.

I scanned the documents and returned them via reply to the email they sent us. In my reply I asked if they would like me to forward them the originals in the mail and if so to please confirm the postal address I should send them too. This was November 20th and I have not had a reply from them.

Should I send the originals to the PO Box on their website?
hello,

they will not reply to your email
what I did is, I sent everything via courier I think that is the safest way to go.... I am not sure if they accept anything by email but I could be wrong lets see what others say

hopefully it works out for you

best regards,
khalil

Hi there, my husband landed in Toronto on Oct 31st on his way to Victoria, BC. He landed, and was taken aside and asked to show his passport with the visa in it, as well as the landing paper - you have to have that! The process took about an hour. He was told that his PR card would be sent to the address he provided (it's been just over a month and he hasn't gotten it yet, but I'm sure it will come soon). You need this card if you want to leave the country. Anyway, the process was smooth, and he said everyone was really polite and very nice.

After he arrived (about three days later), we went to a government office and got his S.I.N number (the card was mailed out two weeks later), and he has already applied for his health care and we are looking into getting his driver's licence.

I know that is more than you asked, but I thought it might be useful! Good luck, and congratulations to everyone!

Is the landing paper provided along with the passport?

Yes, when he got his passport back, with the visa in it, he was given his file and included in this was the landing papers.

S.I.N is your social insurance number and without it you cannot legally work in Canada. Below is a link with more information. It's really easy to get, and there is no charge for it (but if you lose it you have to pay). Just go to the closest federal government office to you and you will get the number right on the spot, and then they will mail the actual card to you in two weeks.

during the interview in Toronto Airport what kind of question did they ask ?

khalil

It wasn't anything that taxing. They asked my husband how much money he was bringing into the country, does he have a twin brother, his address in Canada, just general things. Remember, at that point you have already been awarded the visa, so it's not a stressful time, at least in my husband's experience. They will ask to see the passport with the visa, the landing papers, that's all really. He said everyone was quite friendly, and he had no problems.
