I’m considering a C11 (Significant Benefit) LMIA-exempt work permit application from Turkey.

IRCC’s processing time tool shows 186 weeks for Work Permit – Outside Canada (Turkey), which seems unusually long.

For those with recent C11 experience:

• Is this number realistic for C11?
• How long did your application actually take?

186 weeks is the general “outside Canada” estimate for Turkey, not C11 specific. It’s often inflated and not a good indicator for LMIA exempt streams like C11.

From recent cases, most C11 work permits are processed closer to 2 to 6 months, depending on file quality and biometrics, not years.

Focus on a strong business plan, clear significant benefit rationale, and complete documents. That impacts speed more than the posted timeline.
