Hi @spyfy. For the physical presence calculator, I have entered all the dates correctly, however the number of days are not matching the dates eg from October 1 to October 20 I was out of the country, but the number of days that was automatically populated is 9.5 instead of 18 days! Has this happened to anyone else, is it okay to send it in even with the incorrect # of days even though I have the correct dates submitted??
Thank you for your help.

Yes, this is how the calculator calculates. Any days spent outside of Canada BEFORE you were a PERMANENT RESIDENT, is counted as half a day. In your case, you were outside for 19 days, it will be calculated at 9.5 days. Same goes for the time you were PRESENT IN Canada before your were a PR.

Any dates you were OUTSIDE of Canada AFTER you were granted your PR status, would be counted as full days.

Hope this helps!

Good luck on your application :)

Great, thanks very much for your help! :) I wanted to make sure I didn't make an error before I send it! :)

Quick question...

Say I started a job in 2012/02. When I put in the dates for employment and residences, should I write 2012/10 in the "From" field (the start of the eligibility period), or provide the entire time I have been employed or living at that residence?

Can some gurus answer this question please ..?

If you are filling this information on the application form, I would say put the ACTUAL start date. In your case, insert 2012/02 if that is when you started working for that particular firm.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes with your application :)

Hi,
In question 11 where we have to provide the employment and education history. What to write in the box for "name of contact" , "number" and "e-mail address" if I was a student studying in a school/university during the eligibility period. e.g if I was studying in University of Toronto what would I write for contact name and contact number?

Thanks in advance

Spyfy, quick question please, for question 11, if i was unemployed and i was living in different addresses in Toronto , which one shall i mention ? or do i need to state all the addresses in different records ?

Thanks!

You can provide details of the admissions office or the registrar's office.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes with your application :)

What do you mean by different address?

If you were unemployed, you have to provide your home address. Nothing for contact details.

Thanks Mazamilam , Well i meant i stayed in 2 different places when i was unemployed (a month in a place and then moved to another one) which one shall i mention ?

Thanks mazamilam .. that really helps ! i was thinking in the same lines ..
I had the same question as the OP .. so figured i'd seek clarification .. hope it helped the OP as well ..

I'm not a guru... :) but the form says "during the eligibility period" (or something of that sort) i.e. 2012-10 if you are applying this month.[/QUOT

Thanks Josh ..I was thinking it's asking for actual start date rather than restricting to eligibility period ..
