I arrived in Canada as a temporary resident in 2021, obtained my permanent residency in 2023, and I’m now preparing to apply for Canadian citizenship. Along with the standard required documents—such as the citizenship photo, PR card, driver’s license, passport biopage, and IELTS results—I’m considering including several optional documents.

Optional Document I plan to submit : Include the biopages of two of my passports, my provincial health card, property tax statements, CRA tax returns, utility bills, work permits, home mortgage documents, and the police clearance certificate I used for my PR application (even though I haven’t been outside Canada for more than 180 days since arriving as a temporary resident).

My question is: Are all these optional documents necessary? I’m planning to include them mainly to avoid any delays in processing, but I’d appreciate your advice.

No. Don't provide all this extra stuff. Fill out the forms, read the instructions carefully, and provide ONLY what they ask for. Providing extra won't speed things up EXCEPT in cases where there is really something unusual about your case that you need to clarify. They will ask for more if they need it, and most of the time they don't.

Follow the instructions. If you're still in doubt after doing that: follow the instructions.
