did you mean letter of explanation for specific cases or a general one?
 
@spyfy kindly elaborate a bit on implied status. An implied status (around a month) between two works permits should be considered separately? According to my understanding under implied status I was implied to be a temporary worker. Therefore there is no need of specifically mentioning separately in the presence calculator i.e cover 2012 to 2015 as a single temporary worker entry.
 
I renewed my passport during the past 5 years. What should I do ?

My new passport started in 2016.

Does USA L1 and B1/B2 count towards section 13? I have held L1 in the past and holding B1/B2 currently. I have put both of them in that section. Thoughts?

This is very tricky, do not rush applying. I suggest you see someone really experienced.
 
This is how I am reading it. You do not need to send any certificate to meet section 11. You are sending the certificate to meet proof of language, so that you are waived from taking IELTS.

I am sending my Canadian certificate which is not part of section 11 (because it was more than 5 years back). Also I am not sending transcript, just the copy of certificate.

Because I need to copy all my visas from 2012 to 2017 but I dont have my passport anymore. So I have to say I renew my passport and dont have my visas anymore.

No, because obviously no one could file a tax return for 2017 yet. Only list 2016, 2015, 2014, …

I have to disagree with this. According to, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/cit/grant/residence/tax.asp

it states the following:
"These procedures apply only to applications received on or after June 11, 2015.

To be eligible for citizenship, applicants are required to meet their tax filing obligations under the Income Tax Act for the appropriate relevant period:

For applications received on or after June 11, 2015 until October 10, 2017

  • Four of the taxation years that fall fully or partially within the six years immediately before the date of application.
For applications received on or after October 11, 2017

  • Three of the taxation years that fall fully or partially within the five years immediately before the date of application."
It states the tax years must be immediately before the date of the application. So if you sign it today, 2017 is still a tax year, you would tick off you have to file but you haven't filed yet, and then 2016/5/4/3. 3 out of the last 5 years must show that you filed your taxes.

The first year that is immediately before today is 2016, not 2017. 2017 is the year that I am signing the application.

I will put 2016/5/4/3/2. I dont think its going to make a difference if I put 2017 or not.

I'd still recommend people go from 2016. IRCC want to know, as part of the approval process that if you were eligible to pay taxes, you did. So 2017 doesn't help them and I'm pretty confident they will be looking at the last 3 full taxation years. Irrespective of what someone does here, you need to consent to IRCC getting your records from the CRA - so neither way of doing it will result in your application being rejected. It's worth noting though that if you go with 2017 - IRCC may request confirmation at a later date that your taxes have actually been filled. Good luck.
 
I had obtained an amendment to your Record of Landing (COPR) for change in Date of original entry(which was originally wrong on my COPR), I will attach the COPR and and amendment letter with my application, but do I need to clarify that in the application form, I guess that Q5 just states mentioning change in name
