Wanted an opinion. I secured my BOWP in end of December and its valid till mid-December 2016.
Since I am an Oct 2014 old CEC process applicant I estimate my PR to be done by May 2016 (18 - 19 months).

Is it advisable to change jobs while on a BOWP or better to wait for PR?

I heard that most firms will prefer to hire only after getting PR. My NOC is 2174.

Do let me know.

Well, apply to the job and see what the company says. Always apply... put yourself out there! I had no problems getting a new job with the BOWP.

I called CIC just now. The agent said my BOWP application just looks like its in progress. She agreed that the processing time has passed and she will send a note to someone for an update. I hope it will help.

No I did not. I filed a case specific inquiry for my file. At this point, I'm pretty sure they are holding on to it until my eligibility passes for my PR application. I am an August 28 applicant for PR. Hoping to get medical soon if everything goes well and then hopefully the BOWP will follow

Call CIC once and see what they say? just to make sure that they are not holding for some other reason. If they are really waiting until they see Eligibility status change to Passed, I can forget about my BOWP for now.

I'm waiting to get processing time changed this week so that I can atleast call them and ask about my application.

So I got my MR earlier today. I logged into MyCIC just now and I see that my BOWP application has been approved. I didnt get any email yet though.
Indeed, they were holding onto my BOWP until my PR application passed eligibility.

I sent CIC an email today asking whether this eligbility pass is the reason for the delay. Still waiting. Sep 5 online applicant.

I was trying to call CIC but it disconnects the call saying due to high volume of calls not able to connect, how to overcome this?

I did mine upfront, and still have no 2nd BOWP. So waiting for elibility only, I guess. But why has this not been completed, yet? I don't know. My PR was received Aug 18.

No. But I called 2 weeks ago and he said "Everything's fine" .. whatever that means. They never requested anything from me. I did my stuff upfront (MR + RFPF), I also provided them with every update in my situation which one would add to schedule A, i.e. change of work. So basically, they have everything they need. I contacted them today to get an update on my BOWP application.
